Here are some of our favorite go-to lunches in downtown Aspen:
Big Wrap
By far and away the local's favorite. Bab’s has been serving up wraps there since I can remember and her consistency, prices, and quality have remained steadfast. During the peak seasons you will find a line around the block so be sure to give yourself some time to wait. Otherwise, call in and they will have your food ready in about 45 minutes. My go-to’s are a Pesto Wrapture, Mexican, and Mr. Potato Head and I always get a White Out Smoothie with blueberries. Remember cash only!
Butcher’s Block
A close second for locals and the only reason I don’t put them on par with Big Wrap is they are a bit more expensive. Price aside, they have the best sandwich in Aspen and the team there is great. I suggest an egg salad on white or a turkey with coleslaw on brown rye with mustard and pickles. This is also the spot to go if you are looking to splurge on nice fish or nice cut of beef.
Grateful Deli
Located on Main St, this is a great local deli with some killer specials. These guys have been here for a good amount of time and put out a solid option while keeping the price affordable. Always suggest the Garcia.
Jour de Fête
Owned by longtime locals, this is a beautiful little French Bakery restaurant located steps from the gondola. It is the perfect spot for a healthy breakfast and dinner. One of their best kept secrets is a tray of turkey lasagna to-go to feed family and friends.
Honorable Mention
A few honorable mentions: Sushi from Clark's Market, a slice from New York Pizza, and a salad from JUS.
